There are few emblems more recognisable in fashion than Versace's Medusa head. There are perhaps even fewer models as recognisable as Kate Moss. So, when we saw that Versace tapped Moss to debut its new line of eyewear in an ad campaign shot by Mert Alas and Marcus Piggott, we could hardly turn our eyes away from the images.
With Summer finally here, we're taking it as an opportunity to totally revamp our sunglasses collection. And who better to draw inspiration from than our favorite celebrities, who practically live in the coolest pairs all year round.
There's Miranda Kerr, who owns several statement spectacles, and Kate Hudson, who isn't afraid to spice things up with some color. We're also all over Kate Moss's latest white cat-eye pair and give props to Gwen Stefani for always matching her loud style with equally bold shades. But that's only the beginning. Head inside to shop exact pairs for yourself.
Some people just go through life with rose-coloured glasses on, and such is the case for British model Rosie Huntington-Whiteley. Dressed in gym attired with her hair pulled back into an ukempt ponytail, she looked absolutely radiant in the Los Angeles sunshine wearing a pair of rose-coloured aviators the other day. Shop a wide array of rosie sunnies here and let me know which pair makes your heart pitter patter.
Coloured sunnies are just another way to express your style. Yes, they help protect your eyes from sun and pollution, but they are also a bold accessory that aren't for the fashion feint-hearted. Shop all kinds of shapes and styles below and let me know if you would rock a pair of red-hot sunglasses like the ones Rita Ora wore earlier this week in London!
Georgia May Jagger has been revealed as Sunglass Hut's new face and is set to appear in the retailer's ads from September. The British model's first campaign as brand ambassador, which was shot by Daniel Jackson in a North London studio last month, shows Georgia in full on glam mode with red lips and back-combed hair posing in sunglasses by Tiffany & Co., Versace and Vogue Eyewear. It's the latest high profile role for Mick Jagger and Jerry Hall's daughter, who is also the face of Hudson Jeans and was recently named the new face of Madonna’s Material Girl line. Chief executive officer Fabio D’Angelantonio told WWD:
"With her history and her background, but also her very cool, simple and playful relationship with fashion, we believed [Jagger] could be perfect [for Sunglass Hut]. We talked to her about the project and we got her extremely excited about the category, about the Sunglass Hut brand, and we decided to go ahead with this partnership."
Georgia herself said: "I think everyone knows Sunglass Hut — they’re in every airport. I’m always buying new Ray-Bans." The model's current favourite shades are Persol and Ray-Ban's "younger styles" in bright colours. The Brit might even get behind the lens too, as she’s just completed a photography course at the London College of Communication. D’Angelantonio added: "We’re investigating how [Jagger’s] passion for photography can come alive [for the brand]." What do you think of Georgia's latest role?
