I love the look of a classic ponytail in casual- or formalwear. It's always in style and suits all types of hair textures. The fun aspect of ponytails is that you can make them high, low, loose, teased, and even leave the lengths curly, wavy, straight, or any way you please. It looks like pretty ponies aren't going anywhere for this season either. Take Rosie Huntington-Whiteley, for example, wearing her hair in a loose, centre-part ponytail backstage at the Michael Kors show yesterday. Michelle Trachtenberg was also spotted at a party in NYC donning a similar, yet slightly more sleek, style. And on the catwalk at the Milly show, the models wore their hair parted in the center in a medium-height pony. What's your favourite ponytail look?
When Burberry beauty launches something new, it always seems just a little more special than other UK-based brands. Is it me, or does something about Burberry feel very patriotic? The latest release from Christopher Bailey is called Body, a fragrance that is set to hit stores on Sept. 1. The ads for the green absinthe, freesia, and peach strong juice feature Rosie Huntington-Whiteley wearing nothing but a rose-gold satin signature trench and Burberry makeup. The elongated skinny bottle was designed to look elegant, feminine, and luxurious, containing a rose-gold check print by Christopher Bailey who said,
"Burberry Body is the most exciting launch that we have ever created and captures the iconic spirit of the brand today in a striking and sensual way. Rosie's effortless style and her staggering beauty made her the natural choice as the first Burberry Body."
Mario Testino shot the still-print photos, but you can take a peek at a little behind-the-scenes video below and a couple shots of the print ads here, too. Are you excited about the latest fragrance from Burberry?
Heathrow was the place to see and be seen yesterday if you were a model. Lara Stone, Rosie Huntington-Whiteley, and Cindy Crawford all took to the friendly skies, wearing totes, sunnies, and denim as they walked the airport. I like Cindy's flowy blouse that she paired with a silver belt and flares the best, but if I had to endure a long haul flight, I think I'd opt for Lara's comfy jeans, t-shirt, and jacket style. All of the ladies kept a low profile in sunglasses; however, it appears that the paps outsmarted them. Do you ever wear sunglasses indoors?
The Evening Standard are about to unveil their annual most influential list. The 1000 Most influential New Players in London looks set to include some very stylish names. Alongside athletes and politicans sit some of the hottest model names in fashion right now. This includes Lara Stone, Georgia May Jagger and Rosie Huntington-Whiteley.
The "new model army" as they have been dubbed also includes Edie Campbell who has modeled for Burberry and is dating Razorlight's Johnny Borrell. The newspaper explained Rosie's inclusion in the list saying, "She has invaded Hollywood by replacing Megan Fox in Transformers 3 and is one of lingerie brand Victoria's Secret's new “angels”." It will be exciting to see who else is on the list when it is released in full later today.
