Product Review: Neom Luxury Organic Candles

Over the holiday, I was shopping with a friend at a gorgeous smelling London boutique.

Over the holiday, I was shopping with a friend at a gorgeous smelling London boutique. It's funny to describe a store that way, but second to the great clothes and accessories was an overwhelming warm scent. As it turns out, they placed a Neom Luxury Organics Candle in each corner of the room to create a relaxing atmosphere.

What makes these candles so unique is that they're all natural and they double as a holistic body treatment. As they burn, the pure essential oils in the (vegetable) wax melt, and can be applied directly to the skin — how cool is that!

There are ten three-wick candles with names like Energise, Invigorate and Tranquility designed to help relax, de-stress and enhance moods. They last up to 55 hours and cost £35 each.

My favourite is Pure Indulgence. It contains Brazilian orange blossom, (aka neroli) to lift the spirit and calm the body. The only drawback is that the oil gets extremely hot in the votive, so you have to be careful not to burn yourself.

Product Review: Ren Damask Rose Body Cream

Well at least I have one thing in common with Uma Thurman.

Well at least I have one thing in common with Uma Thurman. Like the long-limbed actress I share a love of skincare brand Ren and am a true devotee of their shower creams and body lotions in particular. As a complete body lotion addict anyway, it's no surprise then that I'm head-over-heels about Ren's Damask Rose Body Cream, (£24.50).

This a truly luxurious body lotion. It's ultra thick and absorbs easily leaving your skin glowing and soft. The thick yet not cloggy consistency makes for a nourishing effect that's not at all sticky or greasy. Essential fatty acids from rose hip seed oil and jojoba oil work to boost the skin's lipid content, restore moisture levels and increase the skin's ability to retain moisture. Expect petal-soft skin with a healthy glow.

The uplifting fragrance of damask rose petals is better than eating chocolate if you want to feel completely indulged and pampered. Rose is known to balance the emotions and create feelings of wellbeing, whilst ramnose sugar, which is also on the list of ingredients, stimulates beta endrophin release. No wonder I feel so happy after using this cream, it's like true love in a bottle!

Product Review: E45 Body Cream

Now since we've just met I should probably introduce myself.

Now since we've just met I should probably introduce myself. My name's BellaSugar and I'm a body lotion addict. Seriously, I can't get enough of the creamy stuff. Where others get their at-home spa experiences with long, hot baths or mini manicures, I'd reach for the bottle every time.

So it was with barely disguised glee that I tried the new E45 range of moisturising body milks and creams. Since the 50s, when E45 was first developed specifically to soothe and treat skin conditions like eczema, it's maintained a reputable, if not entirely glamorous, image. The new range is aimed at everyone, not just those with sensitive skin, but as it's fragrance-free is particularly suitable if you're easily irritated by over-smelly products. It's also fantastic on very parched skin, such as on the calves or knees, where skin tends to be drier.
