The past year brought us more than a few memorable award-show moments, with the biggest names in music and movies being recognized for their work. From Jennifer Lawrence and Anne Hathaway's big Oscar wins to Justin Timberlake returning to the Grammys stage, the stars have had plenty of cute, candid snaps. George Clooney and Amy Poehler cozied up at the Golden Globes, Katy Perry gave Ellen DeGeneres an eyeful when they hit up the Grammys, and the world couldn't stop talking about Miley Cyrus's twerk-filled MTV VMAs performance with Robin Thicke. Meanwhile, Jennifer Aniston and Justin Theroux made the Oscars party rounds with Miranda Kerr and Orlando Bloom, and Brad Pitt joined Angelina Jolie on the red carpet when she was recognized at the Governors Awards. Click through for those moments — and many, many more — from 2013's biggest award shows!
Miley Cyrus may have made Mrs. Claus jealous when she got up close and personal with Santa at KIIS FM's Jingle Ball in LA on Friday. The singer donned a shiny, red crop top with white cuffs for her theatrical performance, and she showcased her signature stage antics, twerking and sticking out her tongue while singing into a candy-cane microphone. The extended performance marks a return to flirty form for Miley, who gave us a purr-heavy rendition of "Wrecking Ball" with a lip-synching cat at the American Music Awards last month. Fans at the star-studded concert were also treated to festive performances by Selena Gomez, who rocked the stage with a short bob haircut, plus Robin Thicke, Enrique Iglesias, Ariana Grande, and more.
Sure, red lipstick is festive, and you can't go wrong with a classic, but these stars are making a case for more moody lipstick hues this holiday season. Hollywood has been taking vampier lip colours, from deep aubergine to glossy maroon, for a spin. For darker skin tones, why not try a deep plum and gold eye shadow combination like Jourdan Dunn, above. Or if you're a little wary, pick up a burgundy lip stain à la Taylor Swift.

If you've got it, flaunt it, right? Lily Collins, Selena Gomez, and Bella Thorne did just that last night at Flaunt magazine's November issue party in Los Angeles. Lily Collins showed the sultry side of pyjama dressing in a red slip dress adorned with black lace. Selena Gomez took sexiness to new heights in a body-hugging black dress with a plunging neckline and midriff-bearing cutout that left little to the imagination. Meanwhile, Bella Thorne kept things printed and fun in a voluminous crop top and a navy skirt with orange bursts. Three great looks, but if we can only flaunt one, which should it be?
Selena Gomez was playing favorites with her hairstyles this week. The singer was out and about in New York sporting three different plaits, and each style was much different from the last. While performing in Brooklyn on Wednesday, Selena showed off a delicate braid on her scalp, which went gorgeously with her waves. On Thursday, she wore two different plaits. She channeled Janet Jackson with a scrunchie and high ponytail on her way to the Late Show With David Letterman but was also seen sporting a loose, boho side plait earlier that day. All three are completely different, but which do you like best?
At the premiere for her new film, Getaway, Selena Gomez wore a voluminous and textured ponytail that you can re-create in 10 minutes flat. "When I saw Selena's dress, I knew that her hair needed to be up," said her hairstylist Richard Collins. "We decided to create a look that would let the dress speak for itself while at the same time calling attention to the sexiness of her hair. So we went for a ponytail that had a more edgy and runway-esque feel to it."
This look starts with a head full of tousled waves. Use a medium-barrel tong and Serge Normant Meta Luxe Hairspray (£24) to get the beachy texture before you pull your hair back. "We loved the idea of sexy and messy as opposed to sleek, so we kept the top of her hair and her hairline on the 'messier' side," Collins said. In order to keep the look disheveled, he pulled her hair back loosely into a midheight ponytail, allowing the finger tracks to remain. Finally, he wrapped a section of hair around the elastic to hide it and secured with a few bobby pins underneath the ponytail. Since the look is about messy texture, you don't have to worry about it looking perfect, and that makes it all the easier to achieve.
Selena Gomez looked stunning on the red carpet at the premiere of Getaway in LA on Monday. She wore a floral-print Vera Wang cocktail dress for the event and posed for photos with her dapper costar Ethan Hawke. In the action film, which hits theaters on Aug. 30, Selena plays a young woman who gets carjacked by Ethan's character — a former race-car driver — who is trying to save his kidnapped wife. This isn't the first high-octane role for Selena, who shed her Disney persona to star as a good-girl-gone-bad in last year's Spring Breakers.
Selena has a lot to celebrate lately, as her latest album Stars Dance debuted at No. 1 after its release earlier this month. She recently took home honors at both the Teen Choice Awards and last weekend's MTV VMAs, where she picked up the Moonman for best female video for her hit single "Come & Get It." Selena and her BFF, Taylor Swift, seemed to have a blast at the event, especially during one special performance — they were repeatedly shown dancing and singing along to Justin Timberlake's much-anticipated reunion with *NSYNC.
Fresh from a sexy but chic Atelier Versace number at this weekend's VMAs, Selena Gomez attended the premiere of her latest flick, Getaway, in a grown-up Vera Wang Collection frock. The mix of jacquard and guipure lace is something your mum would approve of . . . unlike the recent getups of other Disney grad Miley Cyrus, whose VMA everything is still causing a kerfuffle around the web.
Selena finished off her polished look with lace pumps and bold purple rhinestone earrings. Do you like it all together?
The VMAs red carpet can bring with it the jaw-dropping, head-scratching, and all-out outrageous — but we've zeroed in on just the cream of the crop. With thigh-high slits, embellishments, plunging necklines, and sleek silhouettes, this set of five brought their A-game to Brooklyn. Taylor Swift channeled Old Hollywood glamour in a sexy, curve-hugging Hervé Léger gown. Jennifer Hudson wowed in a little houndstooth and leather, which she paired with equally posh pointed-toe pumps. Ciara made an entrance in a feather-trimmed Givenchy Haute Couture sheer gown, while Selena Gomez was a knockout in an Atelier Versace number. Shailene Woodley skipped the gown in favor of an on-trend crop top and printed skirt from Emilio Pucci Resort 2014. All of these style setters make red carpet dressing look easy — now comes the hard part: who gets your vote?

Reports have surfaced that Taylor Swift and her BFF, Selena Gomez, are on the rocks, due to Selena's tumultuous on-again, off-again relationship with Justin Bieber. It's definitely not the first time a celebrity friendship has fallen apart over a guy — Katy Perry and Rihanna's rift was allegedly over Chris Brown, and who can forget the epic Spencer Pratt-related arguments between Lauren Conrad and Heidi Montag on The Hills? Other famous friends like Paris Hilton and Nicole Richie and Madonna and Gwyneth Paltrow have also fallen out in recent years.
Taylor has a steady stream of girlfriends like Emma Stone, Jessica Szohr, and Hailee Steinfeld, but we still hope that she and Selena will patch things up. For now, click through to see 17 celebrities that have had beef with their besties.
