When you've got gorgeous eyes like Olivia Wilde, it's only natural that you'd want to show them off. The actress found her own way to make her bright eyes pop using blue eye shadow. Olivia opted for a cyan-hued smoky eye at the last two screenings of her new film, Drinking Buddies. For the Los Angeles premiere, she sported a smudged royal blue shadow with inky black liner, but the Brooklyn premiere saw her with a blend of turquoise and baby blue hues. Blue is an easy way to try out the coloured shadow and liner trends, but do you like Olivia's look?
As fashion devotees, we love a good costume change. Apparently, so does Olivia Wilde. The actress was busy promoting her new film, Drinking Buddies, and dressing the part in three red-carpet-ready ensembles. First she hit Good Morning America in a printed pencil skirt, black tee, and strappy coloured heels for a cool effect. Up next, Olivia headed to the Late Show With David Letterman with an entirely new look: an ethereal white fit-and-flare dress and nude Christian Louboutin heels. But there was one more stop (and one more change) before she called it a night. Olivia stepped out at the Brooklyn premiere of her film in a sculpted and cutout teal halter dress, but kept her Louboutins on. That's the rundown — three looks, one day, but which one gets your vote?
Jason Sudeikis jetted home from a promotional stint in London to be by fiancée Olivia Wilde's side for the screening of her film Drinking Buddies in LA on Thursday night. Jason touched down at LAX earlier in the day after hitting the red carpet with Jennifer Aniston for the premiere of We're the Millers in the UK. Jason's loyalty to his lady clearly trumps any work responsibilities, as he skipped out on the movie's Berlin premiere in order to show support to his bride-to-be — fortunately, Jennifer Aniston was able to pick up the slack, single-handedly promoting the movie in a short, sexy Alexander McQueen dress for German fans.
While Jason was overseas, Olivia flexed her philanthropic muscles when she attended the Hollywood Foreign Press Association's Installation Luncheon and mingled with fellow solo stars like Liam Hemsworth, Amber Heard, and Nicole Kidman. She was also in good company at Thursday's event, where she linked up with her comedy costars Ron Livingston and Jake Johnson. Be sure to watch the Drinking Buddies trailer before it hits theaters on Aug. 23.
Were there no plus-ones allowed? Coupled-up celebs like Olivia Wilde, Nicole Kidman, and a Carven-clad Diane Kruger stepped out solo for the Hollywood Foreign Press Association's Installation Luncheon at the Beverly Hills Hotel in LA today. The annual event, which aims to provide grants and support to entertainment-related nonprofits and causes, was hosted by Eva Longoria, who was also without her new boyfriend, Ernesto Arguello. The luncheon also brought out Colin Farrell, Jonah Hill, and Liam Hemsworth, who showed up sans fiancée Miley Cyrus but stuck close to his Paranoia costar Amber Heard. Liam and Miley did however walk the red carpet together for the film's big premiere in NYC last week.
Olivia Wilde showed off her gorgeous engagement ring despite not having Jason Sudeikis on her arm at the event. She has been spending time on the West Coast since supporting her funny fiancé at the Big Apple screening of his comedy We're the Millers recently. Another LA transplant, Diane Kruger, is currently starring in the FX mystery show The Bridge and has been spotted filming scenes around the city. Though Diane may not have had the company of her longtime beau Joshua Jackson today, the couple recently showed love on a sweet hike and Vespa ride through town.
As with most things, lunching in Hollywood is a bigger event, particularly when it's a luncheon thrown by the Hollywood Foreign Press Association, and the guest list starts with Diane Kruger. Today's Installation Luncheon at the Beverly Hilton Hotel drew out lovely looks from a short list of our favourite style-setters. Diane Kruger arrived in a plaid Carven Resort 2014 Collection strapless dress, which she finished with simple ankle-strap Stuart Weitzman heels. Taylor Schilling traded her orange jumpsuit for a pink minidress and coordinating, strappy lace-up heels, and Olivia Wilde looked lovely in a bold fit-and-flare dress with bright green platforms and a matching clutch.Meanwhile, Eva Longoria hit the red carpet and showed off her stems in a white minidress and nude accessories. True to form, Nicole Kidman took the sophisticated route in a long-sleeved green sheath and metallic ankle-strap heels. Amber Heard gave us a day-appropriate take on the crop top in a white-on-white top and high-waisted skirt combo with pointed-toe pumps to finish it off. That's the rundown on who wore what — now it's time to weigh in. Which Hollywood beauty gets your vote?
Getting older comes with a special set of concerns, rewards, and changes for women. This week, Olivia Wilde wrote an essay on how she's coping with — and welcoming — her upcoming 30th birthday, inspiring us to take a look back at what other notable women have had to say about their own experiences with aging. Read on for some of the most memorable quotes stars including Meryl Streep, Beyoncé Knowles, and Halle Berry have shared about their own major milestone birthdays.
On Turning 30:
“This is such a pivotal moment in my life! I’m transitioning as a woman, and I’m finally able to express myself as I am.” — Beyoncé Knowles
"You're 30: You know stuff now. Your 20s were for 'ducking up,' as my auto-correct would say, and learning from those mistakes. (For instance, never again will I convince myself that sleep is for sissies and go straight from a party to the airport. You will not 'sleep on the plane'; you'll vomit in the security line. Go to bed.)" — Olivia Wilde
"I don’t feel as shy or nervous or self-conscious. I have more confidence that I can handle what life brings me. I don’t feel scared to have an idea and express it. I feel giddy about it because it’s a complete transformation. It’s like I’ve found my voice.” — Michelle Williams
“Turning 30 was really big for me. I can get really stuck on ‘I don’t like this or that about myself.’ I’ve found that the only thing that breaks that for me is being able to spend time alone, going to the movies by myself or going to art museums alone. I do that a lot. I’ve discovered the importance of even 15 or 30 minutes a day where it is just me.” — Reese Witherspoon

She was noticeably absent in Vanity Fair's best-dressed list this year, but Diane Kruger is on the leaderboard in this week's best dressed. Of course, the beauty's standout look isn't the only one on display — there's more from the likes of Olivia Wilde, Natalia Vodianova, and Kate Hudson. See all the star power when you keep clicking.
Jennifer Aniston's latest flick premiered in New York last night, and the actress made a wow-worthy red carpet appearance alongside costar Emma Roberts and Olivia Wilde. Jennifer picked a strapless Burberry dress with our favourite new hemline — midcalf. She gave her beloved Stuart Weitzman wedges a break for the occasion, wearing grey suede Casadei sandals instead. Emma picked a black Autumn 2013 Michael Kors dress that flashed some leg from the front but extended to the floor in the back, and she got her sparkle courtesy of Chopard diamonds. Rounding out our stylish trio was Olivia, who accented her strapless red Osman dress from the label's Autumn/Winter 2013 collection with Jennifer Meyer jewelry.
We loved every lady's look, but there can only be one winner. Who was your favourite?
Jennifer Aniston and Jason Sudeikis hit the red carpet for the NYC premiere of We're the Millers on Thursday night. Jennifer sported a purple satin Burberry dress for the screening and arrived with her fiancé, Justin Theroux — although they did not walk the red carpet together. Jason, however, took turns posing with his sexy costar and his bride-to-be, Olivia Wilde, before heading inside. Emma Roberts, who plays Jen and Jason's fake daughter in the comedy, also looked gorgeous in a black Michael Kors gown.
Jen made her way to the Ziegfeld Theater for the event after an appearance on Late Night With Jimmy Fallon earlier in the day, where she played Pictionary with Lenny Kravitz and presented Jimmy with baby gifts for his newborn daughter, Winnie Rose. She's back in the Big Apple after jetting to LA for a stop on her friend Chelsea Handler's talk show, Chelsea Lately. She broke from filming Squirrels to the Nuts to visit her close friend, and the conversation quickly turned to her relationship with Justin, with Jennifer denying that the couple are nudists, but instead saying that they get naked "when it's appropriate."
Miley Cyrus and Liam Hemsworth's engagement has been called off, reportedly! Following three years of dating, Liam proposed to Miley last June when she was only 19, but it seems teenage love was not meant to last for her. With four months of breakup rumors and family members and famous friends weighing in on their relationship status, wedding bells don't look promising. Although Miley and Liam may not make it down the aisle, there are more than a handful of celebrities who said "I do" before their 20th birthdays, as Miley intended to. Check out the list of stars who did tie the knot as teenagers, including Drew Barrymore, Olivia Wilde, Bo Derek, and more!
