My weakness for Essie's pale pink polishes is no secret, and Fiji is one of the few shades that I think works really well on fingers and toes. But how do you feel about matching nail varnish? Do you always co-ordinate your toe and fingernail polish colours – for a pulled-together look – or do you prefer to mix things up and wear different colours on feet and hands?

A manicurist friend I saw at the weekend, was horrified at the thought of wearing pink on the fingernails and red on the toes, while I personally like to wear a dark colour on my toenails, like navy or deep grey, and a lighter colour on my hands. But how about you?
