British model Lily Cole can add global brand advocate for The Body Shop to her bulging CV. The company announced the brand new role last night at an event in London to launch their Beauty With Heart movement, which emphasises a beauty experience that is more than skin deep. Its aim is to help people across the world to: "Look Good, Feel Good and Do Good." Lily has been modeling since she was 14, became one of the faces of Rimmel London in 2008 and expanded into acting, from St Trinian's to The Imaginarium of Doctor Parnassus. The flame-haired beauty also has a Double First in History of Art from the University of Cambridge and is a committed environmental activist. The 23-year-old said:
“We were talking for a year and I can’t tell you how inspired I’ve been by the work that [The Body Shop has] done. I think they’re such an aspirational business, and an aspirational model to other businesses, to show that you can have a really positive attitude to the people, planet and animals and that you can also be really successful.”
Lily seems like perfect person for this new role. Beauty With Heart rolls out in the UK from May 3 and globally from May 15. Are you excited for The Body Shop's latest endeavour?
