Katie Holmes, Naomi Watts, and Anna Kendrick teamed up at Coach's Summer Party on the High Line in NYC yesterday. The three women were joined by Nashville star Connie Britton, Revenge's Joshua Bowman, and model Chrissy Teigen as they mingled with New Yorkers at the park. Katie is currently filming her new project, Mania Days, in the city, and she caused quite a stir on set a few weeks ago when she was spotted filming love scenes with costar Luke Kirby out in public. Meanwhile, Naomi has been playing social butterfly in the Big Apple while her longtime love, Liev Schreiber, finishes up filming for his new project, Ray Donovan, in LA. Naomi hit up Stella McCartney's Resort 2014 presentation with friends Cameron Diaz and Kate Bosworth on Monday and joined forces with Sienna Miller at a charity event last week. She has big news to share today as the new trailer for Diana, her film about the life of Princess Diana, was released online.

Can't choose between a bun and a plait? Katie Holmes couldn't seem to either at last night's Coach party on the High Line in New York, so she combined the two. Her hybrid style, which she adorned with two twists on either side of her head, is the perfect casual Summer style. And it's surprisingly easy to re-create at home with second-day hair.

  1. Start by misting your hands down with a hold hair spray, like L'Oréal Elnett Satin Strong Hold Spray (£6.60), for extra grip. Then, twist a two-inch section above each ear toward the back of your head. Secure with bobby pins.
  2. Pull your hair into a ponytail at the middle of the back of your head, making sure to include the twisted sections. Secure with an elastic
  3. Braid your hair into two neat plaits, securing the ends with elastics. Wind each braid around the base of the ponytail, one at a time, and pin against your head. The bun shouldn't lay flat against your scalp.
  4. Finish with another mist of hair spray, and you're set!

Tom Cruise recently revealed that all three of his kids, including Suri, will be with him for Christmas, saying, "We have got lots of very special things planned. We are all going to be together. Celebrities and rock stars joined up to help out with the 12/12/12 concert benefiting Hurricane Sandy victims in NYC last night. Katie Holmes, Kristen Stewart, and Blake Lively appeared at the event, which raised money for the Robin Hood Relief Fund. Blake donned a bright orange Isabel Marant dress, while Katie picked blue Tom Ford and Kristen wore a neon yellow Jonathan Simkhai getup.

Katie joined Jason Sudeikis to present a video called "Red Hook Rising," bringing attention to those affected in Brooklyn. Kristen, meanwhile, praised New Jerseyans and introduced Jon Bon Jovi. Blake spoke about Connecticut and brought out Chris Martin, who performed with Michael Stipe. Bruce Springsteen, Alicia Keys, Kanye West, and many more musicians performed at the 12/12/12 concert. Paul McCartney gave a sensational performance when he joined up with the surviving members of Nirvana, Dave Grohl and Krist Novoselic, to perform a new song called "Cut Me Some Slack."

The concert was broadcast both on TV and for free in movie theaters in the tri-state area, so Sandy victims had a place to enjoy the music. Superstorm Sandy left many in New York and New Jersey homeless and without power after it drove through the area in late October.
