This year's Met Gala attendees gave us good reason to think two outfits are better than one. And who can blame Ashley Greene for trading her dramatic Marchesa gown for something a little shorter come afterparty? Those iconic Met stairs (read: not ornate-dress friendly) alone could prompt an outfit change, but we think it gives this A-list set another chance to show off one more great look before night's end. Case in point: Allison Williams's surprising dark and sexy twofer, courtesy of Altuzarra. Or how about Madonna's Givenchy Haute Couture tartan and fishnets getup that turned into just fishnets all over? The beauty of seeing fashion's finest is actually seeing them at their finest, and that means outfit changes galore. Which stars were bona fide Met Gala quick-change artists? Find out right this way.
Amanda Seyfried just landed another beauty deal: she's the new face of Very Irresistible Givenchy. As the current spokesperson for Japanese luxury brand Clé de Peau Beauté, playing a beauty muse is no new gig. But she's clearly excited to take part in a fashion house that she's been a longtime fan of. When asked to be the new face of the Givenchy fragrance, she said, "F-ck yeah," WWD reports. "I'm proud to be a part of [the brands I'm involved with] because what they do is really cool, especially Givenchy — they're so artistic."
The fair-skinned beauty just finished shooting the TV and print campaign adverts, which were styled by designer Riccardo Tisci. You can expect to see them starting this Autumn. And we're excited to see Amanda decked out in more Givenchy as she promotes her latest films, Lovelace and Epic. Now, if only she could score a hair care deal.
Amanda Seyfried graces the cover of May's Allure Magazine, which is also its annual Look Better Naked issue. Amanda has gained notoriety for her turn in Les Misérables and was a red-carpet fixture during award-season festivities. Next up, she's starring in The Big Wedding alongside Topher Grace, Robert De Niro, and Katherine Heigl. In the publication, which hits newsstands April 22, Amanda flaunts her figure in a low-cut floral dress and gets candid about body confidence, singing live in Les Misérables, and portraying pornographic actress Linda Lovelace in her upcoming biopic. Here's more from Amanda Seyfried in Allure:
- On playing Linda Lovelace: "Maybe this is backwards, but because she found the power in herself and in her body at a point, it made me feel comfortable in my own skin in a way that I hadn't been."
- The advice she was given by her vocal coach for Les Mis: "'Imagine deep-throating a penis, get that feeling in the back of your throat, and then sing. That's where your larynx is.'"
- On her breasts: "I saw a picture of them a couple of days ago from when I was 19, and my boobs were way bigger. . . . There was something so beautiful about the size of them. When I look back, I'm like, 'Why did I always give myself such a hard time?' Nobody gave me sh*t about it except me."
- On a reporter assessing that she has the "face of an extraterrestrial": "I like that. I'd rather not be ordinary-looking. I want something different about me. We all want to be originals."
Amanda Seyfried made a stylish appearance at Allure magazine's Look Better Naked issue launch party in LA last night. The actress donned a black and gray Roland Mouret ensemble as she mingled with the magazine's editor in chief Linda Wells and Hollywood actresses like Naya Rivera, Leven Rambin, and Jennifer Morrison, who celebrates her 34th birthday today. The star-studded event was in honor of Amanda's upcoming April cover, in which she is clothed, while Naya and Jennifer are both featured in stripped-down looks for the publication's seasonal body-image feature.
Amanda will continue her red-carpet run after revealing last night that she will attend the Met Gala for the first time on May 6. Before Amanda prepares for the fashion industry's biggest night, though, she'll start work on A Million Ways to Die in the West with Charlize Theron.
