It's no secret that overalls can be tricky to pull off. However, Rihanna and Alexa Chung are just two celebrities who've made a strong case for the '90s denim one-piece. Rihanna went more laid-back and casual in her Big Star USA overalls with a tight tee and kicks, while Alexa elevated her black overalls with ladylike add-ons. Plus, Selena Gomez and Alessandra Ambrosio tested out the trend too. Watch on for outfit inspiration just in time to wear overalls this weekend! Fearne Cotton has gone from blonde to platinum since the birth of her son Rex. The Saturdays Frankie Sandford has transformed her hair from short to long since she's been pregnant, Sarah Harding also added some serious length to her blonde hair, Rihanna has lightened her naturally dark hair from a red hue to bright blonde and now Alexa Chung has gone from deep brown to medium brown with blonde highlights. Perhaps Riri, Sarah and Alexa have some baby news that inspired these colour chameleons? Hmph. . . In any event, take a look at their hair changes and vote on which look you like best!
Alexa Chung was spotted in denim overalls — one of the more polarising of runway trends — while out in London, and we can't say that we're surprised by her cool-cum-classic styling skills. To keep things on the effortless side, Alexa sported a basic white tee, then added mega pizzazz via just three little accessories: mirrored sunglasses, cap-toe ballet flats, and a Louis Vuitton satchel. The flats lent feminine flair, her bag a hint of luxe, and the sunglasses a trendy twist. We're loving Alexa's not-so-masculine take on overalls, so to get in on the fun, shop similar pieces below.
Last evening, British beauty Alexa Chung (who happens to be the latest face of L'Oreal) attended the L'Oreal Colour Trophy Awards at the Grovesnor House in Belgravia. The newly-deep chestnut hair-coloured TV host and model looked ravishing in a rosy lipstick shade, navy blue eyeliner and shiny hair at the soiree. Shop all of the products you'll need to recreate her look at home and leave a comment below letting everyone know what you think of herhair and makeup style from last night.
The British sure do know how to rock and roll, so with last night's Met Gala theme being punk, the American ladies took a cue from their friends across the pond, just how to look punk-sational and elegant all at the same time. It's fashion's biggest night out, so click here to see just how these lovelies from the UK paired their hair and makeup with their funky attire.
The Brits sure know how to rock it out punk style on the red carpet, which is perhaps why so many of them were in attendance at last night's 2013 Metropolitan Museum of Art Gala in New York City. Clad in every designer under the sun (more on who wore what British designers later), they were dressed to impress from head to toe with stunning accessories, gowns and shoes full of chains, studs and of course — fishnet. Take a look at these British beauties in my gallery here and leave a comment at the end letting me know who you think looked best.
The Great Gatsby's NYC premiere drew out glamour of the A-list variety last week, but it doesn't stop there. The film's special pre-Met Ball screening proved another glamourous evening in NYC, with the style crowd in full attendance. Carey Mulligan opted for a menswear-inspired look in a Lanvin tuxedo jacket and trousers, while Katy Perry showcased her signature style in a crop top and full skirt, finished with a floral headpiece. Meanwhile, the fashion pack made their mark with Solange Knowles in a striped, peplum-trimmed dress and dapper looks from Brad Goreski and Prabal Gurung. See every single outfit from last night, plus the rest of the red carpet looks from all of The Great Gatsby's red carpet events right here.

All things are pointing towards '90s grunge this season — just look to the runways of 3.1 Phillip Lim, Dries Van Noten, and Saint Laurent — and now, we're starting to see some of our favourite style stars sporting the look on the street. Case in point: Alexa Chung was spotted in London over the weekend looking nothing short of effortlessly cool in a black-and-white plaid Paul Smith dress cinched at the waist with a skinny black belt. This dress can easily teeter between polished and punk, depending on how you accessorize it, but we love how Alexa opted for the latter, styling her look with black chunky-soled oxfords and grey socks. Inspired? Channeling the same look is actually quite easy; all you need is a rad plaid dress and semi-tough footwear, like boots from Dr. Martens or old-school leather loafers. Shop Alexa's Paul Smith plaid dress, plus more affordable options below.
